- Connect the professional account
- Test inbound and outbound replies
- Route intent to the right team
01
Prepare the professional account
Confirm that the Instagram professional account and its connected Meta assets are controlled by the business. Use an administrator who can approve the required permissions and keep a second administrator available for continuity.
- Confirm the correct Instagram handle.
- Review connected Meta assets and administrator access.
- Agree which messages should become sales, support or general enquiries.
02
Connect and identify the right account
Start the Instagram connection from DripTell channel settings, approve the requested Meta permissions and select the intended professional account. Return to DripTell and verify the visible handle before the team starts replying.
- 1
Authorize
Use the business administrator account and review the permissions.
- 2
Select
Choose the intended Instagram professional account.
- 3
Verify
Confirm the handle and channel state inside DripTell.
03
Test a conversation a customer would actually send
Send a direct message from a test profile, reply from DripTell and confirm the response appears in Instagram. Include an attachment or reply context in a second test so the team knows what DripTell displays when a conversation is not plain text.
04
Route by intent, not by social channel alone
An Instagram enquiry may be a product question, complaint, order issue or high-intent lead. Route it using the customer need and keep the source channel attached for context.
- Assign a clear first-response owner.
- Capture contact details only when useful and permitted.
- Move qualified opportunities into the same lead process used by other channels.
05
Keep public activity and private support distinct
Document how comments, mentions and direct messages are handled in your operation. Use the inbox for supported private conversations and define when an agent should move a sensitive issue away from a public context.
